Workers in the 21st Century know the key to a fulfilling career is to stay abreast of the skills and knowledge necessary to remain at the forefront of any industry. Kingman has several local educational and training institutions for individuals to obtain those desired abilities.

Mohave Community College

Mohave Community College (MCC) is a comprehensive community college offering more than 80 associate degree and certificate options in 40 programs through four campuses, including one in Kingman. The College strives to meet the growing workforce needs of business and industry, allowing students to enter rewarding careers or proceed to other institutions to pursue bachelor’s degrees or higher. Career pathways at the college include:

  • Construction, Transportation, Hospitality and Tourism
  • Health, Public Safety and Human Services

In addition, MCC is home to the Mohave Community College Small Business Development Center, a valuable resource to entrepreneurs, small business owners and general opportunities for small business development. 

Northern Arizona University at Mohave Community College

Northern Arizona University at Mohave Community College is a partnership between Northern Arizona University and MCC to provide a pathway to achieving a NAU bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education by beginning with courses at MCC.

Western Arizona Vocational Education Joint Technical District

Western Arizona Vocational Education Joint Technical District (WAVE) is a Joint Technical Education District (JTED) with six partner high schools across LaPaz and Mohave County. WAVE JTED provides high-quality vocational and technical education, allowing students to complete their schooling with employment training certificates, community college credits and marketable job skills.
