A $585,000 federal grant will fund restoration of historic Route 66 properties in rural Arizona, including towns throughout Mohave County.
The Arizona State Historic Preservation Office will administer funding through its new Arizona Route 66 Revitalization Subgrant Program. Grants of up to $100,000 will be available for eligible commercial and civic buildings-such as motels, gas stations and trading posts-located along Arizona's 385-mile stretch of the historic highway.
