Lomanco West: Thriving in Kingman Since 1980

For 80 years, Lomanco Vents has been a family-owned, family-run leader in residential ventilation. It all started in 1946 when founder Clark David Belden started the Dan-Dee Manufacturing Company in Minneapolis, MN.
With growth comes expansion, and by 1973, Lomanco Vents was born with a new location in Jacksonville, AR. In 1980, Lomanco Vents, already a trailblazer, paid attention to the data, listened to the consumers, and chose the road less traveled by opening Lomanco West in a non-metropolitan area. Over four decades later, Lomanco West continues to prove that world-class production facilities don’t need a major city address to succeed.

Expanding into Kingman
Expanding into Kingman to open Lomanco West was a strategic move. We spoke with Plant Manager Paul Belden, grandson of founder Clark David Belden, who cited three key reasons for choosing Kingman:
- Location: The city is central to Lomanco’s western consumer base.
- Infrastructure: Interstate 40 provides a direct connection from Jacksonville, AR, to Kingman.
- Economic Viability: Reasonable property costs, allowing Lomanco to establish roots of retention and expansion.
When discussing the benefits of the addition to the business, Paul went on to say,
“At the time of the move, the product we focused on was the turbine ventilator. One benefit of expanding into Kingman gave us an opportunity to reduce shipping costs. We could ship more than ten times the unassembled product per truck compared to a truckload of a finished product. Since opening Lomanco West, we instituted a policy to ship customer orders within seven working days of order placement. However, most of our order shipments happen within two to four days.”
Growth Continues
80 years later, and counting, Lomanco continues to be a major force in the ventilation industry. With only two locations, Lomanco has greatly expanded product offerings and warehouse space in both Arkansas and Arizona. While Kingman serves the western region, Jacksonville serves the eastern region.
Following the 115,000-square-foot Jacksonville warehouse expansion, completed in 2022, growth shifted to Kingman. In October 2025, Lomanco West broke ground on a project that will more than double the warehouse, as well as expand future assembly and manufacturing processes. With approximately 15 acres under the Jacksonville roof, Kingman will have 118,000 square feet by June 2026.
Once the Kingman expansion is complete, Paul says, “It will keep our employees employed and producing year-round to fill up the warehouse to service our customers during March - December, our busiest time. More assembly lines will create new jobs for the Kingman workforce. Our processes are unique, and we teach them on-site. As a family-owned private business, we strive to pay above-average wages with great benefits.”

Choose Kingman
Lomanco West’s longevity has contributed to Kingman’s reputation as a viable manufacturing hub. For business owners and site selection teams considering Kingman, Paul says, “Kingman has been very good for Lomanco.” He recommends:
